We are looking for a reliable apprentice to join the supportive team at Mannamead Surgery.
The apprentice will be taking on the role of a receptionist. They will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
They will be required to provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Health and Safety
Hourly Rate/ Working Hours
Minimum £3.70 an hour.
Minimum 30 hours per week.
Progression through the team and management opportunities for the right and passionate candidate.
The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment, such training to include:
Participation in annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development.
Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work.
A vibrant and busy General Practioner (GPs) surgery that treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and specialist treatment.
They focus on the health of the whole person combining physical, psychological and social aspects of care.
They are fully supportive of staff, especially those in training and have a strong team that pull together.

We would require the apprentice receptionist to be

Ability to deal with difficult situations
Calm under pressure
English GCSE – C or above/ Level 2 (or equivalent)
Maths GCSE – C or above/Level 2 (or equivalent)
