Tamar Care Services are seeking 2 dedicated individuals to join their team of care and support workers as an apprentice.
Tamar Care Services are looking for two candidates to join their team of care and support workers assisting and enabling their wonderful clients to lead independent lives in their own homes.
This may be personal care support, medication prompts, shopping, outings, attending appointments, nutritional support, domestic help.
The hours of work are between 08.00am and 21.00pm. The candidate will work 7 days per week on a rota basis and within our team’s given availability.
Tamar Care Services are a family owned and managed domiciliary care agency that supports people in their own homes to lead independent lives of their choosing. They started in April 2015 and have an excellent reputation amongst their clients and other health professionals. They are currently rated ‘Good’ by CQC.
The majority of their clients are privately funded but they also give a set amount of hours to their two local councils to support people in the local community. The majority of their clients are elderly and have varying needs from physical to mental health and learning disabilities.
They are based in the City Centre with easy access to all areas that they currently cover – Plymouth, Torpoint and Saltash.
Working Hours & Hourly Rate
Minimum of 30 hours a week (hours will vary between the hours of 08:00 – 21:00)
Minimum of £3.70 per hour
To work and train within a company that is in a period of growth and to grow with them. To obtain recognized qualifications in the health and social care sector which can lead to further progression within the company for the right candidate . Previous support workers with us have gone on to be social workers, a midwife and RGN.
A huge variety of training will be provided through their own company trainer and external trainers. Including training in a Care Certificate, Dementia, End of Life, Parkinson’s, Stroke, Diabetes, Challenging Behaviours, Medication, Autism, Safeguarding, First Aid, CPR and Defribulator.
Training is held twice weekly in their own training room as well as through external providers and the company invests a large amount of time into training our team.
