The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing Studies is a technical level qualification that provides students with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work as an employed and/or self-employed hairdresser.
This qualification is suitable for beginners, so no formal entry requirements are needed. The course is also suitable for qualified Hairdressers who are looking to refresh their skills and get up to speed with the current trends.
The Diploma is based on the Hairdressing National Occupational Standards and is recognised by the UK’s leading hairdressing trade bodies/professional associations as being fit for purpose for preparing students for a career as a hairdresser/stylist.
Students who complete this qualification are eligible to become a State Registered Hairdresser with The Hairdressing Council.

All products and resources will be provided for you to use in class. A kit is available for you to buy at a reduced price!
Students will need to supply their own models
Students will need to complete homework to practice and perfect the skills taught.
Uniform for hairdressers at GHQ is black and white only (no denim) and ‘closed in’ comfortable shoes.
The course is fully funded via the Advanced Learner Loan (subject to eligibility).
The course can be privately funded at a cost of £2853 including VAT.
Flexible payment plans are available from as little as £20 a week should you proceed with the privately funded payment option (Deposit required). Bursaries are available for childcare and travel costs (subject to eligibility) .
