GHQ Training were the proud sponsors of the event, organised by Run Plymouth and were up on the Hoe bright and early to fill thousands of goody bags for the participants!
The children have been following a 12 week programme where they ran 1 mile each week, building up to the Half Marathon where they ran their final mile.
Jean Rogers, MD of GHQ Training took centre stage to wish all the runners good luck and to start the race! She said ” GHQ was delighted to sponsor the Plymouth Schools Challenge which took place on historic Plymouth Hoe last Sunday .The children were all amazing and should be proud to wear their medals ! Well done to all the participating schools.”
GHQ volunteers were eagerly awaiting each runner at the finish line to handover their goody bag! Each child was given a t-shirt to wear on the day and received a medal.
The weather was beautiful which topped off an inspirational day. We’d like to again, congratulate all of the school’s for taking part and we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did!
