  • This is an exciting and new opportunity for a pro-active customer focused candidate, who will support new and existing customers in a busy Technical/ Retail environment working from iOutlet’s main office in Plymouth. There will be an element of technical support services and the promoting of refurbished products though their online services.

    The apprentice will be part of the Customer Services Team responsible for basic technical and customer support for their refurbished products (iPhones, iPads, and Watches). They will assist in providing customers excellent technical support in a supervised office environment, ensuring that they provide them with the relevant and correct information to ensure an exceptional buying experience. This will ensure the company’s online profile remains high and encourage repeat custom.

    Alongside daily tasks, as an apprentice the candidate will attend training and complete tasks in order to complete their Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship and will be supported by their Manager with carrying out off-the-job training.

    Daily tasks will vary but will include:

    • Providing excellent customer service at all times both face to face and over the phone.
    • Dealing with customer enquires over the phone, via email and social media.
    • Assist with placement of orders, refunds and exchanges/ liaising with the relevant departments.
    • Supporting basic business requirements; production of bills of receipts, sale orders, stock control, processing deliveries etc.
    • Contribute to maintaining the Google Business and Trust Pilot online platforms.

    Working Hours:

    • 37.5 hours per week
    • Monday – Friday 9am-5pm (30 mins unpaid lunch break)
    • There will be a requirement to work some Saturday mornings (9am-12pm) to support customer requirements but there will be a fixed half day off mid-week.

    Hourly Rate:

    • £4.20 per hour (Above National Minimum Wage for Apprentices).

    Person Specification

    Skills Required:

    • Excellent customer service
    • Confident telephone manner
    • Some knowledge of Apple products
    • Good ICT/ social media skills

    Personal Qualities:

    • Friendly, outgoing personality
    • Team player
    • Customer driven
    • Adaptable to changing customer requirements

    Qualifications Required:

    • Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths is desired.
    • A qualification in ICT.

    Future Prospects:

    On completion of the apprenticeship, there could be opportunity for progression within the company for the right candidate.

    Training to be Provided

    • Level 2 Customer Service Apprenitceship
    • Functional skills in Maths & English if required
