We are looking for a positive and motivated individual to join the team at Willow Child Care as a Level 2 Apprentice.
Willow Childcare Centre is seeking an apprentice who is committed to developing a long term career in child care to join their nursery team and aid the development of the children in their care.
Daily activities include but are not limited to:
Ensure the safety of the children
Help to prepare and fully set out playrooms and outside areas and tidy after
Help plan, provide and take part in all the children’s activities
Listen to, encourage, enable, stimulate and ensure the safe keeping of the children
Administer to all needs and requirements of the children
Attend staff meetings and help prepare curriculum
Encourage parental involvement
Administer first aid as required in accordance with agreed policies and procedures
Assist with routine administration and record keeping including children’s observations, assessments and developmental progress reports
Advise manager of any matters requiring attention such as concerns about a child, or equipment needing repair or replacement
Keep all information confidential regarding all aspects of the practice
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (including a paid 30-minute lunch break each day).
8 hours a day on a rotation between 8am – 6pm
National Minimum Wage for age.

The practice is looking for an apprentice who is committed to developing a long term career in child care. They must have a positive and motivated attitude when working with the children and apprenticeship framework. They will work as part of a close team who welcome trainees with open arms. In return the practice will work alongside GHQ Training to develop key childcare skills and endeavor to progress further training as and when required.
Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) is desired along with a good knowledge of ICT. Functional Skills in these areas can be completed if required.
Progression onto a level 3 qualification or long term career in childcare.
The centre is open between 7.30 am to 6.00 pm. Closed on Bank Holidays and period between Christmas and New Year.
