Our hairdressing and barbering apprenticeship programmes are delivered in collaboration with Cheynes Training.
A Salon at No.6 are looking for a reliable and hard working individual who has a passion to develop within the hairdressing industry to join their team as a Level 2 Apprentice.
Key responsibilities will include:
Greeting and dealing with clients.
Shampoo and Condition clients hair
Sweep hair and tidy the salon
Attending training one day per week at GHQ Training
Minimum 30 hours per week
Minimum £4.15 per hour
A Salon at No. 6 is a converted old Post Office in St Maurice, Plympton which is now a modern hair and beauty salon. The salon boasts 11 hair stations, 3 massage wash basins, 2 nail stations and 2 treatment rooms. The salon prides itself on excellent customer service, quality of work and continual professional development.
Salon at No 6 ensure their stylists and beauty therapists are always up-to-date with the latest trends and styles. Being a member of the national hairdressers federation also ensures the salon complies with all health and safety regulations and employment laws so all clients and staff can rest assured they are in safe hands!
Strong communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Willing to learn
Passionate about hair
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) is desired but not essential as Functional Skills can be worked towards.
Possibility of continuing on to Level 3 Hairdressing qualification and/or long term career in the hairdressing industry.
Training to be Provided
Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship – delivered at GHQ Training Academy
Functional skills in Maths & English if required
