In this course we will teach you how to use an electrical file (e-file) as part of nail enhancements. When used correctly e-files are safe, quick and create fantastic results. This course covers the many techniques that e-files can be used for. The course also offers a guide to the benefits of e-filing, the equipment needed and relevant safety and maintenance information.
Theory & Practical
All Guild Accredited courses consist of theory and practical elements.
Apply via the ‘Apply Now’ tab at the top of this page to enrol onto the course. You will then be contacted by GHQ to pay the practical fee to secure your space. After payment, you will be sent an activation email which allows you to register with The Guild (you will be required to pay a £25 registration fee directly to The Guild).
After registering with The Guild you will have immediate access to the online modules which means you can start learning the theory straight away. The Guild has given a guideline of 3 hours of study time for the theory element of this course, but this will vary depending on the speed you learn.
Within 3 weeks of completing your theory, you will attend the practical training day at GHQ Training from 9am – 12:30pm.
You are required to bring an e-file with you on the training day (30,000 rpm or more & approx 30/36 wattage).
You will either need to have a 2 week old set of acrylics with gel polish on yourself or on a model to practise on.
*If you fail the practical assessment, GHQ will offer you an extra hour tutoring free of charge. You will be charged extra if you require more tutoring.
You must have completed the GTi Professional Standards for Therapists and hold an NVQ in Nail Services/ Nail Extension Qualification.
