The aim of the qualification is to support leadership and management skills in early years and the knowledge and skills relating to the early years practice. The Early Years Senior Practitioner will be a positive role model for the team. Through clear leadership and effective management, the Senior Practitioner will support and promote best practice within legislative requirements to enable quality provision. Working collaboratively with colleagues, other professionals and parents/carers the Senior Practitioner engages and motivates all involved for improved outcomes for babies and children.

Entry Requirements
Learners must be aged 19 or over and working in a supervisory or management role (or have written permission to undertake extra responsibilities to fulfil Real Work Environment Criteria).
Course Duration
18-24 months.
Department of Education - Full and Relevant Approval
This qualification meets the requirements of the Department for Education’s Early Years Educator full and relevant criteria, allowing the learner, upon completion of the qualification, to count towards the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) staff:child ratio at Level 3.

Cost of the course is £4680 – this can be funded via the Advanced Learner Loan or Self Funded (payment plan available).
