Course Overview
This course covers the technique for eyelash extension application for both individual and flare. We also cover the removal and maintenance of lashes. The course includes anatomy and physiology of the hair and eye, contra-indications and contra-actions to treatment. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment.
There are a total of 7 online theory modules you are required to complete before taking your practical assessment here at GHQ Training.
Theory & Practical
All Guild Accredited courses consist of theory and practical elements.
Apply via the ‘Apply Now’ tab at the top of this page to enrol onto the course. You will then be contacted by GHQ to pay the practical fee to secure your space. After payment, you will be sent an activation email which allows you to register with The Guild (you will be required to pay a £25 registration fee directly to The Guild).
After registering with The Guild you will have immediate access to the online modules which means you can start learning the theory straight away. The Guild has given a guideline of 7 hours of study time for the theory element of this course, but this will vary depending on the speed you learn.
Within 3 weeks of completing your theory, you will attend the practical training day at GHQ Training.
- You will need to bring your own model to the training day (patch test will be required 48hrs prior).
*If you fail the practical assessment, GHQ will offer you an extra hour tutoring free of charge. You will be charged extra if you require more tutoring.
Entry Requirements
You must have completed the GTi Professional Standards for Therapists.
Cost/ Kit
- £120.00 inc VAT. This does not include the £25.00 Guild registration fee which you pay directly to The Guild on activation of your account.
- You will be provided with the equipment needed for the training day and given a list/ advice on what you will need to purchase to be able to carry out lash extensions in the future.
- For an extra £140.00 you can buy a kit which will be ready for you on the day and is yours to keep with everything you need to practise this technique.
*Please be aware payment is non refundable if you are unable to attend the agreed practical training date and payment cannot be carried forward to a subsequent date.
Certification & Insurance
This is an accredited course by the Guild of Beauty Therapists. On completion of the course, successful students will receive a GTi certificate which is acceptable for insurance purposes with The Guild of Beauty Therapists. Insurance conditions and warranties may apply; it is the learner’s responsibility to check this before enrolling onto the course.
