We would like to welcome our new Hairdressing Assessors, Rachel and James, who both bring years of hairdressing experience to our expert team of Educators.
Rachel and James will be looking after the new Level 3 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing evening course which is due to start in the next few weeks.
The Level 3 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing is an occupational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed hairdresser/stylist. This qualification is based on Hairdressing National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK’s lead hairdressing professional association (The Hairdressing Council) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a senior hairdresser/stylist.
The qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as an advanced hairdresser/stylist including health and safety; client consultation; advanced cutting; styling and colouring techniques and; selling products and services to clients.
Starting her Hairdressing Journey at 14 Rachel was trained by the prestigious hairdressing giant Toni and Guy, Rachel’s career then took her over to Ireland where she became a hair extension specialist salon in Dublin.
Back in Plymouth, Rachel became a salon owner. She loves being creative with colours, achieving client’s hair goals and absolutely loves Editorial and High fashion Looks.
James has been in the Hairdressing and Barbering Industry for 13 years. He has trained at one of Plymouths well known salons, Maison Terry's, and he has a true passion and natural flair for the industry.
James specializes in creative colouring and colour correction, and is also set to become one of our new Barbering Educators .
