Course: Level 3 Award in Supporting Children and Young People’s Speech, Language and Communication

Duration: 6 months

Attendance: Remote delivery, times TBA by Tutor

Overview

This qualification develops the knowledge and the skills necessary for effective communication and how to identify development needs and support for individuals. Speech, language and communication skills are essential for learning and social and emotional wellbeing, therefore practitioners must understand what typical development looks like for different age groups.

Requirements

You should be at least 16 years old and working in an appropriate environment, either employed, volunteering or on practical placement as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. Ideally, you will already hold a Level 2 qualification.

Cohort Dates & Length of Programme

6 months – 4 sessions plus assignment writing time. Dates are to be confirmed on an individual basis with the assessor.
